On the night we will honour and celebrate excellence at all levels of the game. From the Dame Lois Muir Supreme Award, the highest individual honour a New Zealand Netballer can achieve, to the Volunteer Awards, acknowledging those at the heart of grassroots Netball.

Overall

  • Dame Lois Muir Supreme Award

    This award recognises the best netballer across all elite competitions and Silver Ferns campaigns. The award is named after Dame Lois Muir DNZM OBE, one of the most influential figures in the sport’s history, and is regarded as the highest individual accolade a New Zealand netballer can achieve.

  • Fan Favourite

    This award provides the opportunity for the public and fans to vote for their favourite Silver Fern in the given year.

  • Moment of the Year

    This award provides the opportunity for the public and fans to vote for their favourite Netball moment in the given year.

International

  • Men's Player of the Year

    Awarded to a Net Blacks player who has displayed consistent, outstanding performances throughout the Men’s international season.

  • Te Tuaka Rau – Silver Ferns Players’ Award

    Presented to the player who the players believe best upholds the mana of the Silver Ferns.

  • Silver Ferns Player of the Year

    Awarded to a Silver Ferns player who has displayed consistent, outstanding performances throughout the international season.

Elite Domestic League

  • Te Rau Mataaho – ANZ Premiership Players’ Award

    Presented to the overall best performer in the 2023 ANZ Premiership, as voted by the players.

  • ANZ Premiership Player of the Year

    Awarded to a New Zealand player competing in the ANZ Premiership who has displayed consistent outstanding performances throughout the season.

  • ANZ Premiership Coach of the Year

    Awarded to an ANZ Premiership coach, from a New Zealand franchise, who has displayed outstanding commitment and excellence in coaching.

  • ANZ Premiership Umpire of the Year

    Awarded to the New Zealand umpire who is selected for the ANZ Premiership Grand Final.

National

  • Contribution to NZ Netball Players Association

    Awarded in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contribution and support to fellow professional players, including the demonstration of leadership and inspiration both on and off the court.

  • Aspiring Silver Fern

    Awarded in recognition of an outstanding talented athlete within the underpinning High Performance programmes, including, but not limited to, National Development Squad and NZA.

  • Secondary Schools Player of the Year

    Awarded to the Netballer judged ‘most valuable player’ from the New Zealand Secondary Schools team.

  • National Netball League Coach of the Year

    Awarded in recognition of a coach who displays excellence in coaching at National Domestic Events.

  • National Netball League Umpire of the Year

    Awarded in recognition of an umpire who demonstrates a desire to strive for excellence on court, shows consistency in performance throughout National Domestic Events and continues to improve their knowledge of the game.

  • Outstanding Contribution to Netball by a Technical Official

    Awarded to an individual in recognition of their demonstrated contribution to technical officiating at a national level.

  • National Netball League Player of the Year

    Awarded to a New Zealand player competing in the National Netball League who has displayed consistent outstanding performances throughout the season.

Community

  • Volunteer Administrator of the year

    The Volunteer Administrator of the Year is awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution from a volunteer administrator.

  • Volunteer Coach of the year

    The Volunteer Coach of the Year is awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution from an individual volunteering in the coaching space.

  • Volunteer Official of the year

    The Volunteer Official of the Year is awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution from an individual volunteering in as an official.

  • Volunteer Youth of the year

    The Volunteer Youth of the Year is awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution from an individual volunteering in youth netball.

  • Volunteer Community Champion of the year

    The Volunteer Community Champion of the Year is awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution from an individual volunteering in the netball community.
